POETRY CORNER:

ICY ETCHINGS
The icy window pane shows a feathery boa,
Stretched across the bottom of the glass,
Like a dancer unfurling her neckwear
To swirl at the bottom of her feet.

The frost, a thick intricate weaving of ice
Tip-toes across this portal to the world.
It covers the full opening with tiny glowing gems
That twinkle like bubbles in a glass of champagne.

These Icy Etchings bump up with shivery cold,
As they invade the warmth of the castle.
Soon they will ment into nothingness,
Tiny trails of wetness
fading to oblivion on the windowsill.
