PRAYER OF THE MONTH

God of help and hope, pour out the power of your Holy Spirit on your people.  Help us recognize the miracle of your constant presence in our lives.  Lift us up, that we may rise with new life and new hope as faithful followers of your son, Christ Jesus our Lord.   Amen

JUNE 2010

Summer will soon officially be here but much of our weather feels like it has already arrived. Rhododendrons are in full bloom and lovely.  Folks are out gardening hoping for good tomato and potato crops among other veggies.  And, of course, the flower seeds are starting to sprout.  What a great time of the year!  Black flies even seem to be leaving.  Oh sure, the mosquitoes are now coming but they are nothing compared to those pesky black flies!

THIS AND THAT

We look forward to the summer with love and faith in our Lord Jesus.  Our snow birds have returned from the south and other couples are back at their summer camps.  We welcome them to their summer church home.  We still have room for you!  We love to see new faces and hear new voices.  Come and join us next Sunday at 9 a.m.  We'll be waiting to greet you!

A chicken barbeque is planned for Sat. June 26 at our Church Hall and summer church school plans are in the works.  Good food and good fun together will learning about our God who loves us all.  July 31 has been set as the date for our annual auction.  See you there!

The church on the hill
stands tall and proud
to welcome your presence
a few, or a crowd.

Happy are those
who pass through the door
to kneel, to pray,
to sing, and more.

So come and join us
Please hasten, don't stall.
Enjoy this great day
that the Lord gave us all.
